We are proud to see Keegan Ashley from Interfor’s Adams Lake Division be selected as one of the winners of Forest Products Association of Canada’s (FPAC) Green Dream Internship Program. Keegan’s passion for the forest industry is rooted in his family history, which spans more than 100 years in the sector. He plans to pursue a career in either manufacturing or the woodlands sector. This biome features pine forests and hardwoods, including Loblolly Pines, Oaks, and Hickories. The forest canopy hosts an array of wildlife, from white-tailed deer to the gopher tortoise. Sa voûte forestière abrite une grande variété d'animaux, du cerf de Virginie à la tortue gaufrée. As National Indigenous History Month draws to a close, we turn our attention to the fifth and final principle fundamental to our Indigenous agreements. Community Engagement: Our commitment extends beyond contracts to support community initiatives, events, and projects. Through these efforts, we contribute to meaningful work, deepen our understanding, and strengthen Indigenous partnerships. In 2023, we provided Indigenous partners with lumber for housing and infrastructure projects. Additionally, we supported Indigenous youth field trips and educational programs, investing in the next generation. Thank you for your support throughout National Indigenous History Month!
