thoughts on home health
Once in a while I miss the rush of the hospital. There was a certain comfort to going into the same building and working with the same team. Home health, however, challenges me in a very different way. Much like when I was in EMS, I don't know what I'll walk into. I've been amazed at the things I've learned to do without another nurse just a bellow away. I work hard, and I'm busy all day, but I also have a healthier balance. I'm grateful for the 15 years I spent at the bedside, but I wish I would have discovered this kind of Nursing sooner. To my friends who are burned out at the bedside, try Nursing at the doorstep before you throw in the stethoscope!
