**Exciting News from International Fire Protection!!** It’s with much excitement that we welcome United Fire Alarm Service in Myrtle Beach, SC to the IFP family. As our most recent acquisition, UFAS joins our Marion, SC team adding to both our capabilities and our geographic footprint. United Fire Alarm Service was founded by Paul Griffin and his wife Wanda in 1997 and became a leading Fire Alarm business along the SC coast. With their outstanding customer service, technical expertise, and value-driven organization, we knew UFAS would be a great fit with IFP. Mr. Griffin was a founding member of the Grand Strand Fire Inspectors association, and they were the first company in the area to provide BDA testing. UFAS has been a leading Gamewell distributor in the coastal region for the past fifteen years. Their Senior Fire Alarm Technician, Randy Deer, also joins our team with his 25 years’ experience. The Marion office is currently building out their team to support the fire alarm growth and collaborating with providing Sprinkler services to UFAS’s existing customers. Smoke alarms save lives! Follow these safety tips when it comes to smoke alarms in the home: Install smoke alarms in every sleeping room and outside each separate sleeping area. Install alarms on every level of the home. Install alarms in the basement. It is best to use interconnected smoke alarms so that when one smoke alarm sounds, they all sound. Test all smoke alarms at least once a month. Press the test button to be sure the alarm is working. A closed door may slow the spread of smoke, heat, and fire.
