The Interoperability Institute recently concluded its first ever Virtual Innovation Center (VIC) Challenge Event, focused on advancing Longitudinal FHIR Viewers to support enhanced interoperability, improved care coordination and streamlined workflows.
By focusing on the development of Longitudinal FHIR viewers, this event marked an essential step toward creating more cohesive, patient-centered care. The detailed feedback from SMEs in usability, technical, and security offered each participating organization a clearer path forward in refining their platforms.
Moving forward, each iteration of the VIC Challenge Events will aim to build on this foundation, deepening support for innovation that moves healthcare closer to efficient, equitable, and fully integrated care for patients.
Thank you to our sponsors, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Smile Digital Health, Michigan Health Information Network Shared Services (MiHIN), and Velatura Public Benefit Corporation, our Evaluators,
