Interstruct worked with our healthcare client to capitalize unbuilt shell space on the second floor of its very busy Emergency Room in Clermont, Florida. The upper level had been vacant for five years. Now, this location better serves its community. The full-floor medical office buildout includes the first multi-purpose conference room available for use by all suites in the building. Among the many challenges of working in a 24/7 emergency healthcare center was to perform over 100 floor penetrations to accommodate plumbing and floor boxes throughout. Much of our work was directly over the ER nurses’ station, requiring excellent communication and coordination with building personnel to ensure uncompromising standards for patients and the staff while performing all the overhead ceiling work. We also built a state-of-the-art X-ray suite that required an innovative joist mounting system that we successfully used for the first time. To minimize dust and debris, we performed this work within the confines of our mobile ICRA machine. We use this containment system for most medical buildouts in occupied spaces, particularly any that are adjacent to patients in exam or procedure rooms. 🔗 Learn more about our Healthcare Construction specialty: https://lnkd.in/gD6fr23w

After two major hurricanes, we’ve got our work cut out to turn the new Ocean Prime in Sarasota over to the Cameron Mitchell Restaurant Group in less than a month. Luckily, the site withstood Milton with zero roof leaks or water intrusion, and minimal damage to finishes. Interstruct is pleased to start work on a full design + build cardiology office in St. Pete. The 5000 SF, $1M high-end medical office includes a full imaging suite and is a first-generation buildout. In recent years, we have added more-and-more medical office interiors to our portfolio. They are an ideal platform to leverage our 23+ years of expertise in corporate interiors; but leveled-up with the requirements for patient care and especially for designing and building high-tech imaging suites. We appreciate our clients and industry partners for coming out and spending a couple of hours with us at our quarterly happy hour at our HQ in Parramore last week. Our office was well used: the fall weather drew a crowd into the courtyard, and the Brokers Open House filled the conference room where we introduced #802West, our new boutique office building we are bringing to market. Happy hour dovetailed to the opening night reception of artist Alexis Collum’s multi-media installation, NOTICE, at the ArtCube Gallery in front of our office. We had a great crowd as part of Downtown Arts District's Third Thursday Orlando. Our parking lot frequently serves as a third space to host Project 814 community events and our Parramore Arts public art projects that help activate our redevelopment on the West Church Corridor. Save Thursday, January 16, 2025 to attend our next happy hour and ArtCube opening, and to see the new mural (currently in progress) by Maureen Robinson Hudas. Sun Auto Tire & Service’s first new-construction project in Florida is part of Interstruct Design + Build's growing ground-up construction division.
