Over the last few days Eva Valencia our VP of Sales and Service and I had the opportunity to be at the world's largest Photovoltaic Power Generation and Smart Energy Exhibition in Shanghai. 14 halls filled with every conceivable company in the supply chain. The Interlink team with the outstanding Daniel Kollar and Xiao Yifan, drove Intevac's business opportunities forward in a professional and expedient manner. Intevac's coating technologies were very well received in a market we understand but are now beginning to further develop. Continue to watch this space... incredible things happening with a market leader in the the coating space. www.intevac.com

Today Eva Valencia and I implemented our strategic market and customer engagement plan with Intralink in Korea. Representing us will be Dilshod Akbarov and Dennis Hwang who will act as an extension of Eva's management team and sales force in Korea. I have had great success with Intralink before, so using them to drive Intevac's world class coating solutions into strategic new markets, especially in Asia, meets the aspirations of our growth and revenue imperatives. An exciting time for Intevac and our shareholders! More strategic updates to follow.

Introducing Intevac TRIO™, Intevac’s new Multi Zone Automated Coating System Intevac is proud to bring to market its latest coating system; a compact, cost-effective coating solution for small and medium sized substrates. Born from the material science expertise that brought the HDD market leading 200Lean© to the world, this innovative and agile technology development is a single, compact machine capable of coating 2D and 3D glass substrates at high continuous volumes with multiple layers creating a thick film stack in a continuous in-line process flow. With high-speed output and fast processing times producing multiple layer coatings, our unique patented plasma control technology enables high-rate sputtering that results in scratch resistant, anti-reflective and high hardness coatings at a low cost of ownership. TRIO™ combines the capability of both DRUM and In-Line coating systems in a modular expandable way that future technology requires.

Check out what our CEO, Nigel Hunton, had to say about our Employee of the Quarter award winner and the collaborative efforts that got him there! 😀
Congratulations to Steve Daly, Intevac’s employee of the quarter. He was recommended by Mike Anthony for his commitment and speed of innovation in enabling the TRIO tool’s progress towards qualification. As Intevac’s CEO it was great to see Mike collaborating with Steve to bring to life Steve’s innovations.
