  • Congratulations to Andy Watkins, senior commercial relationship manager, on his recent graduation from Bank Leaders of Kansas! Throughout 2024, Andy participated in four leadership training sessions that prepared him to play an active and positive role in the future of the Kansas banking industry. Andy says his favorite session was the class trip to Washington D.C., a city he had visited previously, but not experienced in such depth. “From walking around the National Mall during our free time, to taking a bus tour at night to see the monuments, it was a neat experience to see it all.” During the training and travel, the class had opportunities to bond and participate in team building activities. “The relationships I have built through the program will not only help me personally as I continue in banking, but they will help INTRUST to be represented as a strong community bank in Kansas that wants to work alongside others to advance our industry as a whole,” he says.

  • "I look forward to learning how I can actively engage with my community in ways that promote positive and lasting change." Congratulations, Demesha Wright, banking center manager at our Parkway Village location in Shawnee, on your selection to the 2025 Shawnee Tomorrow leadership program facilitated by the Shawnee Chamber of Commerce. The six-month community leadership development program is a unique opportunity for participants to access leaders who play integral roles in the region. It provides a behind-the-scenes view of the processes, programs, opportunities, and challenges that impact the city, county, and state. In just two sessions, Demesha is already gaining valuable insights and tapping into her experience at INTRUST. "I've learned how the local government in Shawnee is structured and participated in a mock City County meeting," she says. "As a former member of the Customer Experience Council at INTRUST, I found myself reflecting on the adaptive challenges we addressed as a team and saw parallels with how a council meeting is run and the importance of engaging stakeholders." From January through June, class members participate in educational sessions, tours, and candid conversations with community and area leaders. Shawnee Tomorrow's topics include education, health care, business development, regionalism, and city, county, and state government. "This will be an enlightening experience, and I'm thankful for the relationships that will be built along the way," she says.

  • Equally important to the credit solutions and financial services we provide are the strong relationships we build with our business customers. It starts by understanding their history, the work they’ve put in to get where they are today, and their vision for the future. We’re proud to share these stories of resilience, growth, and dedication. Each is a testament to the power of an idea, the determination to bring it to life, and the importance of local partnership and community support.

  • Meet Ryan Stuchlik, a commercial lender and proud member of our Newton team. A Newton native, Ryan has returned to his hometown as a member of our commercial lending team, making what he considers a full-circle milestone in his career. “I’m excited to return to Newton and contribute to the community where I grew up,” Ryan says. “My roots here have given me a unique perspective on the needs of local businesses and residents, allowing me to provide personalized financial solutions that support their goals.” With seven years of banking experience, including his previous role as a credit analyst for INTRUST, Ryan’s unique blend of local insight and commercial expertise makes him an invaluable asset as he assists customers with the complexities of the lending process. He attended Bethel College-North Newton where he played soccer and earned a degree in business administration with a focus in finance and minor in history. Connect with Ryan to discover how INTRUST can help you achieve your business goals.

  • Here, community investment is often a team event. Every year, many members of our team enjoy volunteering their time to help build a new home through Wichita Habitat for Humanity's Home Ownership program. Last fall, we joined Justice in raising the walls of her new home. This week, we watched as she received the keys. "We had a wonderful time getting to work alongside Justice," president Sam Chandler shared at the ceremony. "We're impressed by the incredible effort she put in to provide a better life for her family. She's a tremendous example for all of us." Congratulations, Justice!

It was a day filled with joy and celebration! This was our first Home Dedication Ceremony of the year, celebrating Justice as she closed on her new home on March 5th! Surrounded by family, friends, and supporters from INTRUST Bank and the community, Justice, a hardworking mother of five, realized her dream of providing a safe and stable home for her children. Justice's journey is a testament to the power of our homeownership program. She diligently invested 250 hours of sweat equity and completed 40 hours of financial literacy courses, demonstrating her commitment to her family's future. Now, she's a proud member of the vibrant SoCe neighborhood, already building connections with her new neighbors! Congratulations, Justice! Your achievement is truly inspiring. 🙏 A heartfelt thank you to INTRUST Bank for their invaluable partnership in building this home. And a special shoutout to Kansas Food Bank for their continued support in providing essential meals to our families as they settle into their new beginnings.

  • At our annual Service Awards Breakfast, chairman and CEO, Charlie Chandler, always enjoys the opportunity to personally recognize and thank employees who recently celebrated employment milestones. This year, we recognized 126 employees with work anniversaries ranging from five to 50 years. There was at least one employee in attendance from every department at INTRUST and half of our total physical locations. Collectively, that's 1,620 years of institutional knowledge. Thank you to all our employees for your efforts every day. Whether you've been here less than a year or more than 40, we appreciate your dedication to our customers and commitment to the communities we serve.
