A few weeks ago, I had the privilege of attending #AccessFest24, a two-and-a-half day virtual conference hosted by Investigative Reporters and Editors! From discovering 50 FOIA ideas in 50 minutes to a crash course on using Python, the insights and investigative skills I gained have been invaluable. A huge thank you to all the speakers who shared their expertise at the event, and to IRE for awarding me the Gary Marx Scholarship to attend.

I'm currently a senior at the University of Connecticut majoring in both journalism and communication, planning on entering the professional field this December.
I had a great time yesterday at the Investigative Reporters and Editors NY climate workshop, and I’m honored to be awarded the IRE fellowship. It’s always a pleasure to hear from brilliant climate reporters and journalists.
