Momentum personally, professionally and also the momentum of IoTeX is on another level right now. I would love to share some updates here from the whirlwind last couple weeks of travel around the world. Hong Kong Consensus (Feb 17th-Feb 24th): I attended Hong Kong Consensus where I MCd our event and presented in many others discussing the topics of DePIN, AI and Crypto regulations. The energy in HK was incredible. The big focus on the ground was surprisingly US crypto regulations. Everyone wanted to know my thoughts on the topic and where things are headed given my membership in the Blockchain Association, time in DC and article writing on the topic. These macro factors and overarching narratives is where most of the mindshare was. ETH Denver (Feb 24th-Mar 1st): I went directly to ETH Denver in the USA (from HK). Again several presentations on similar topics. But this time the focus on the ground was more around was around how AI can leverage the world of Crypto/DePIN and how Crypto/DePIN can leverage AI. Much more of a focus on building the future of robotics and Physical AI and we are putting ourselves at the center of this at IoTeX. Specifically, fuelling Physical AI with real time real world data. It is really interesting to see this difference in culture and focus in real time given the fact these massive events were back to back. Forbes: a milestone I’m incredibly proud of is that my article on DePIN/crypto Regulations organically landed on Forbes last week! It was a crazy feeling waking up to see this. Truly a dream come true. But I'm not done! Much more to come here. Getting mainstream attention is a huge win not just for me, but for the entire space. Crypto's got Talent: Thank you to Polygon Labs for making Crypto's got talent a reality. I’m beyond excited to be one of two co-hosts for CGT with Giuseppe De Luca. We’re giving away $500K in grant allocations to the most promising projects/companies in the space — and we’re filming it all in public. Many grant programs happen behind closed doors, we are flipping the script with CGT, everything transparent and in public. The talent, passion, and vision coming through this initiative is next level, and I can’t wait to see the impact these builders will have. The journey’s just getting started. Let’s keep building. 🚀

I had the opportunity to fly out to Washington DC for the Blockchain Policy Summit. The pro-crypto momentum is undeniable. Crypto voters showed their power at the ballot box and now DePIN (Decentralized Physical Infra Networks) is winning over lawmakers with real-world results. I was able to meet and discuss real crypto use cases and advocate for sensible regulations with several senators, congressmen and regulators including Tim Scott, Warren Davidson, Wiley Nickel, Bill Hagerty and more. The IoTeX team is thrilled to work with Blockchain Association to make sensible regulations a reality in 2025. The window is open – this is our moment to shape the future. Singapore Token2049 this past week was incredible! 🙌 A lot of us building in DePIN (Decentralized Physical infra networks) are so in the weeds with DePIN that we forget there is a whole other world out there that we should be actively trying to attract into the space. As Head of Product it's my obligation to keep these different customer/user segments in mind as we build out our product suite and generally refine our pitch. I am trying to bring a much more inclusive approach to my keynote speeches, panels and conversations. The power of talking to all these user segments can't be understated. Talking about real and tangible use cases and real revenue I have found is key. IPFS and Filecoin Foundation is now the preferred storage primitive of IoTeX’s modular DePIN infrastructure. With 2900+ storage nodes around 40 countries, any DePIN project building with our infra is able to access the powerful Filecoin network via services such as Lighthouse.storage or Web3.Storage. Why is storage important for DePIN? DePIN's Storage Module is crucial for handling large datasets generated by various projects. This data can be media files, sensor readings, or AI outputs, and can be shared with authorized parties through secure storage APIs. Decentralized storage = powerful benefits. Many IoT devices have limited storage capacity. Decentralized storage like Filecoin solves this by allowing secure storage & retrieval near the device itself.
