Since 1887, the Iowa Bankers Association (IBA) has been dedicated to serving Iowa banks. As the nation's largest state banking association, the IBA provides members with a strong voice at the state and federal levels of government, along with a wealth of other resources to support Iowa banks' success — including compliance, education, marketing, human resources, and insurance and mortgage services. About Our Affiliates: Iowa Bankers Mortgage Corporation (IBMC) has served community banks’ single-family real estate needs since 1979. The IBMC staff has in-depth expertise in mortgage banking, secondary market requirements and loan servicing. For nearly 40 years IBMC has brought this expertise to community banks, offering a variety of channels and competitive tools in order to tailor services to meet each bank’s individual needs. Iowa Bankers Insurance and Services, Inc. (IBIS) offers a variety of insurance products and access to carriers to meet the needs of banks and bank agencies — and to help them serve their customers. Since 1971, IBIS has been the partner Iowa banks and bank agencies have depended on for insurance expertise and outstanding service. IBIS has a knowledgeable staff, with over 100 years combined insurance experience, who are committed to helping banks succeed.

36 bankers are attending the IBA Commercial Lending School this week in Ankeny. The school started Monday with a group dinner and networking reception in the evening. Students will learn commercial lending skills and participate in case study work throughout the week before completing a final exam on Friday.
