The most trusted partner of Iowa’s soybean farmers dedicated to expanding opportunities and delivering results.
About us
The Iowa Soybean Association (ISA) is the country’s largest state soybean association and is governed by an elected volunteer board of 21 farmers. ISA develops policies and programs that help growers expand their profit opportunities, such as creating international marketing programs for U.S. soybeans, supporting the renewable fuels industry, and promoting the development and consumption of foods that contain soy. The association promotes environmentally sensitive production, such as no-till farming, nitrogen testing and the creation of environmental management systems for individual farmers. ISA also funds production research aimed at growing soybeans more efficiently and profitably. The organization strives to make soybean production a profitable, worthwhile and environmentally safe way to farm.

Farm Rescue has been crucial in keeping family farms going when they face crises. Iowa #soybean farmers Grant and Nicole Woodley experienced first-hand what all can be done when farmers come together to help. See the first part of their story below 🔽
Farmers have stories. For almost 20 years, we have served more than 1,100 families. Each one has a unique story to share, and the Woodleys’ is truly inspiring. Watch the first installment of their 3-part series below, with more to come next week.

A new approach to health coverage ❤️ is reaching farm families across Iowa. Traditionally, there hasn't been great options for farmer health insurance 👨🌾 Landus is hoping to change that and make coverage accessible for those in rural communities. Partially funded by the soybean checkoff.

Having a customer is only good if you can get your product to them. That's why #soybean farmers are interested in the port expansion 🚢 happening at the Port of Grays Harbor in Washington. The upgrade will double the capacity of soybean meal exports. Find out what Iowa farmers had to say when they visited the facility ▶ https://lnkd.in/gSdDVHep Funded by the soybean checkoff.

The best way to learn 🧠 is through hands-on experience. Greater Des Moines Leadership Institute participants explored how farmers use #conservation practices by visiting Lee Tesdell's farm. They were able to see the impact of saturated buffers, pollinator habitats 🐝, terraces, cover crops 🌾 and bioreactors. ISA partners with Lead DSM to help Iowa’s leaders become more connected to #agriculture and the practices #soybean farmers are implementing. Funded by the soybean checkoff.
