About us

The Indigenous Peoples Power Project (IP3) is a non-profit 501c3, nonviolent direct action training and support network advancing Indigenous communities ability to exercise their inherent right to environmental justice, cultural livelihood, and self determination. Formed in 2004 as a project of the Ruckus Society, IP3 graduated from NDN Collective’s fiscal sponsorship cohort and became a non-profit in June 2020. We continue to work across Turtle Island with communities that are most vulnerable to threats of ecological devastation and resource exploitation, and most poised to lead solution-oriented action. Our mission is to provide nonviolent direct action training, campaign support, and community organizing tools to support Indigenous communities taking action in defense of their homelands.

  • IT'S A SHORTY BUT A GOODIE! Due to technical issues with the Instagram Live, the first part of this interview was cut short but still such a great interview! Tap in to hear about all the great work from Native Movement, and how they're amplifying and uplifting the good work of our Alaskan relatives. On this episode of Skoden Talks w/ The Homies, we are excited to chat it up with Enei Begaye, activist, organizer, and Executive Director of Native Movement! We are honored to facilitate such powerful conversations with Indigenous leaders, and we hope you are as inspired as we are. Please like, subscribe, and spread the good word! Enei (she / they ) is of the Diné & Tohono O’odham nations. Enei is currently the executive director of Native Movement, an Alaska based statewide Indigenous-led organization. She is a longtime community organizer, trainer, facilitator, and advocate for social justice and the rights of Mother Earth. Enei is a co-founder of the Fairbanks Climate Action Coalition and the Black Mesa Water Coalition. She has served on various national social justice boards and committees. She lives in Fairbanks, Alaska with her partner and children. In discussing Indigenous peoples' Environmental efforts, Enei has said: "A green economy is nothing new to Indigenous peoples, we have been practicing this way of life in harmony with Mother Earth before Wall Street. But today, what we strive to do is unite the modern non-polluting technologies, such as wind and solar, with the tradition technologies, such as weaving and farming; and with that unity we can open up new doors of opportunity for ALL our people - young and old, college educated and land educated alike." https://lnkd.in/gkfMUQJJ

  • What's good relatives!? As we transition into the fall season, IP3 is excited to introduce new programming from The Farm at Coyote Crossing including Intergenerational Training, Healing & Wellness, and Food & Land Sovereignty. Since February of last year, IP3 has been hard at work preparing the land for these new programs, and along with new programming will be the home base for training, activist and artist residencies, retreat space for Indigenous Peoples and allies, a place for culture and ceremony, to grow traditional medicines, to grow and connect with Indigenous foods, to connect with ancestral land practices, and we can't wait to share and heal with you all. In the meantime, we will be holding our annual training for trainers events, accepting new training request applications, and continuing our mission to provide nonviolent direct action training, campaign support, and community organizing tools to support Indigenous communities taking action in defense of their homelands. If you are interested in supporting, volunteering, or learning more about the IP3 Landback Project, please visit us at https://lnkd.in/gRAZnCip or use the link in our bio. We will have a new farm page with more details on our website soon. Can't wait to see you on The Farm!
