As I wrap up my 13-week internship at Ipsen USA as a Sales Intern I am filled with excitement and gratitude. This experience has been a major stepping stone for my future career journey and I cannot be more grateful to be given this opportunity. During my time this summer I’ve been able to develop many valuable skills such as learning how to build strong customer relationships, B2B sales during customer visits, and how to create value during cold calls. Being able to observe the sales strategies involving high ticket products has shown me the importance of creating trust and value to customers over long periods of time. I want to give a huge thanks to Matt Clinite and the retrofits team for constantly being the best mentors and getting me involved in many opportunities. I will continue to look up to you guys and be appreciative of all the support. I also want to extend my thanks to Tyler Free for taking me under your wing during customer visits and teaching me the do’s and don’ts in the sales world. Overall, I am incredibly grateful for this opportunity and the guidance I was provided. Excited to see where my future career takes me in the sales world!

Today wrapped up my time as a Mechanical Engineering Intern at Ipsen USA for the Summer of 2024. I had the opportunity to present my summer intern project focused on redesigning, remodeling, and redrawing the PdMetrics kits for the different furnaces that Ipsen produces. This incorporated the use of Autodesk Inventor, Autodesk Vault, and AutoCAD along with the knowledge and skills I have obtained throughout both my studies and time at Ipsen. I want to thank Rachel Peterson for not only guiding me through the interview and hiring process, but for all her hard work towards the Ipsen Internship program. She has created a very welcoming and educational environment through office social events, intern bonding activities, and varying lunch and learns covering various departments throughout the company. A huge reason Ipsen’s internship program stood out to me when applying was the emphasis on creating a personalized experience by giving each intern a mentor(s). So, I would like to share my upmost gratitude to Scott Borota, Joshua Hinkemeyer and Richard Jenkins. From the beginning they were extremely welcoming, focused on me getting everything I wanted to out of this internship, and open to any and all feedback. I cannot thank them enough for all of the guidance they have given me throughout this internship. Walking away from this summer, I am extremely grateful for all of the hands on experience and newfound knowledge I have gained from my time here at Ipsen and know it will stay with me throughout the rest of my career!
