We're excited to announce our partnership with Food Bank of the Rockies, bringing digital innovation to their Food for Health program. This collaboration, launched in January, aims to enhance aid distribution for food-insecure individuals with diet-related diseases. Key features of the program: - Digital purchase cards with a $35 monthly allowance - Redeemable for fresh, frozen, and canned fruits and vegetables - Multilingual support in Spanish, French, Somali, Arabic, and Swahili - Part of a transition to a hybrid approach for improved accessibility Currently serving 220 participants in the Denver Metro area (5 counties), the program is set to expand to Western Colorado and the Eastern Plains later this year. Across the country, we are actively partnering with state associations and agencies to pilot food assistance programs. Here are a few examples of how food banks are using digital food cards: *Supporting young minds by providing commuter students at local universities with digital cards for essential groceries and beverages. *Bridging geographical gaps by offering digital cards redeemable for everything except alcohol, tobacco, lottery, and gift cards to assist rural clients requesting emergency food support through their call center. *Addressing language barriers by preparing to distribute digital cards for fresh produce in multiple languages to support diverse local populations. *Reimagining holiday traditions by planning to issue digital cards for fresh and frozen turkey and ham in November, piloting a new approach to holiday meal distribution.
