More than 60 Crosby Scholars learned about careers in healthcare at South Iredell High School from physician Dr. Michael Houston, Nurse Practitioner Wendy Troutman and physician and Vice President of Iredell Physician Network Dr. Damon Hays, who also serves as Iredell Crosby Scholars Board Chair. Crosby Scholars hosted a mini-academy session yesterday at West Iredell High School to improve communication skills for 9th, 10th and 11th grade students. The program included communications preferences, verbal and non-verbal communication cues, and the top five e-mail tips for successful communication. Great job, students!
