It was awesome to see how sponsoring The Salvation Army of Reading directly helps members of our community, families and children. Our President, Sarah Phillips serves on the TSA Advisory Board and is chair of the TSA of Reading Development Committee. Irish Creek also mans a #RedKettle for a day at Christmas time and supports the #angeltreeprogram. TSA of Reading is such a great organization and very easy to support all of their awesome causes!

#ProjectSpotlight #TeamIrishCreek completed this project for Kunkel's Saw & Mower as an emergency repair. A sinkhole had formed below the foundation of the building, causing the bearing soil to erode away and compromise the structural integrity of the building. Irish Creek’s Project Management assembled the engineering team, including structural, geotechnical and an environmental engineers and collectively determined the best route of repair to the building, which was occupied by a functioning business. Our Field Team then stabilized the sinkhole to minimize further damage and shored up the building structure. Once the structure was supported, micro-piles were installed below the foundation inside and outside of the building footprint, to which needle beams were installed on and encased in flowable fill. The building envelope was then repaired and the interior concrete slab replaced. Irish Creek was able to maintain a portion of this building to be occupied and allow the business to continue modified operations while construction was ongoing. Our team used a combination of self-performance and subcontractors to complete this work in the shortest time possible. This project was also nominated for the 2023 Building Berks Awards. #berkscountyconstruction #generalconstruction #emergencyrepair #micropile #excavation

Project Spotlight! #TeamIrishCreek recently completed a small renovation for McCarthy Engineering’s new Office Space in Wyomissing. This area was formerly a storage room but the office needed a welcoming space where employees could gather for lunch or a quick break. This cafe features quartz counter tops, painted wood cabinets and stainless steel appliances. #officerenovation #cafe #officebreakroom

This morning our President, Sarah Phillips, and Project Manager Patricia Jomarron attended the Tulpehocken FFA Breakfast. The FFA is a leadership organization based in agriculture and the Tulpehocken students, along with their Advisors Amy Garber and Erin Mahoney (not pictured), do a GREAT job of showcasing their program at this annual event. All of the students made an assortment of breakfast foods for their sponsors, community members and other staff of the school. Sarah is a graduate of Tulpehocken and attributes many business skills to being in the FFA throughout her high school career. #ffa #ffaproud Tulpehocken Area School District Patricia Jomarron
