As you might have already heard, the Illinois Department of Transportation is a finalist in the America’s Transportation Awards for the Chicago-to-St. Louis Rail passenger rail project, Connecting Illinois via High-Speed Rail. This is the fifth time in seven years IDOT is up for consideration for this very high honor sponsored by the American Association of State Highway Transportation Officials.
