Celebrate the mess that has to happen to get to take action when you know in your gut: "It has to be me!”

About us

This podcast hosted by Tess Masters, The Blender Girl aims to empower listeners to take action on the things they’re dreaming about. Inspired by conversations with participants of Tess’s health programs, Tess is asking guests the tools they use to work through uncertainty to go after what they want. What are you dreaming about? Are you making choices to make the things you want happen? Or is something holding you back? What has to happen in the mess so you get to the magic? This podcast celebrates the mess! Because the process of working through our doubts, and getting past the fear of “What if I fail?” is how we get clear about what we want to do! When you get to that place where you know in your gut: "It has to be me!” That “This is what I want to do, and I’m the person to do it.” Then, there is no doubt, and you take action! We all want to get better at getting to that place. So, Tess is diving inside the decision-making process of her guests, and getting the tools they use to work through the mess, and tap into their resources to make the things they want happen. Our goal with this podcast is that you can use some of their strategies to take action on your next “It has to be me!” Listen to It Has To Be Me wherever you get your podcasts.

  • Parents: Abigail Wald from Mother Flipping Awesome is on the podcast talking about the importance of being totally honest about your experiences as a parent, and how giving yourself permission to be honest about everything you are feeling allows you to feel the depth of the love you have for your kids. • Abigail Wald breaks the “mommy code” on the podcast this week and gets raw about the minefield of parenthood. She reveals how getting brutally honest about her struggles as a mother encouraged other women to share their unconventional truths, and how those transparent conversations developed into a global community. Mother Flipping Awesome helps thousands of women and men get real, hit the “reset” button on their parenting journeys, and navigate the challenges and celebrate the joys of raising kids. We discuss the necessity of getting out of the parenting vacuum of “having the same experiences alone,” and into a community where you can share all your stories honestly and acknowledge feelings and thoughts you’ve been told are taboo. Abigail insists that giving yourself permission to express your full human experience as a parent enables you to feel the depth of the love you have for your children. She leads with a central philosophy that parenting isn’t just about raising kids. It’s an invitation to step into your own leadership. Claiming the unique parenting style that aligns with your values and with the needs of your child, she says, is the key to creating a harmonious “mini society” that is your family.
