ITE@MSU

On a global level, ITE has the mission of providing the global community of transportation professionals with the knowledge, practices, and skills to serve the needs of their communities and help shape the future of the profession and transportation in the societal context. Here at Montana State University, we attempt to emulate this mission with the activities our student chapter engages in. We connect students with transportation professionals and other students across the nation. Through community service we develop a sense of commitment to public service, and by getting involved in transportation-related projects like traffic counts, data processing, and trip generation studies we expose students to what a career in transportation could look like. Technical tours conducted by ITE open the eyes of chapter members to the diverse range of problems faced by transportation professionals. At a foundation level, we advance students' learning in transportation beyond the classroom and provide them with opportunities to develop a professional network and skillset that will propel them into their professional careers in transportation.
