In March 2024, we held our 4th annual ITP Patient Conference in Canberra. This year's meeting was our largest yet. PLUS, scientists from the Gardiner Group at @JohnCurtinSchoolofMedicalResearch provided platelet function reports for patients. At times, living with a chronic disease can be extremely challenging as you juggle life, work, family, friends and more. Spoon Theory was developed some years ago to help provide insight into explaining what it's like to live with, and manage a chronic disease.

ITP patients who attended our annual patient conference in March 2024 had the opportunity to have a platelet function assessment completed by scientists from the Gardiner Group at John Curtin School of Medical Research. Read more about the initiative here 👇

Last week, we attended the European Hematology Association's Annual Conference #EHA2024. The event was a great opportunity to meet healthcare professionals worldwide and learn about the latest developments in emerging therapies in the ITP space. The International ITP Alliance comprises patient groups and associations from over 30 countries. This partnership is committed to the education, awareness and establishing a global voice for patients living with Immune Thrombocytopenia. We came together as a collective for the first time in 2024 in London, ahead of the ITP Support Association's annual patient Convention. You can read more about our activities while in the UK.

As part of our role at ITP Australia and New Zealand, we help provide healthcare professionals with information and resources on immune thrombocytopenia.
