This semester, KEP teamed up with Habitat for Humanity International to help build homes . It was days filled with hard work, teamwork, and a lot of heart, and we couldn't be prouder of what we accomplished together. Being part of a business fraternity isn’t just about professional growth and networking—it's about giving back to our community and developing leadership skills through service. 💪 Volunteering with organizations like Habitat for Humanity teaches us the value of collaboration, empathy, and social responsibility, qualities that are just as important in business as they are in life. By working with Habitat, we’re not just building homes—we’re building stronger communities and a brighter future for families. ❤️ Whether in the boardroom or on a construction site, we believe in leaving a positive impact wherever we go. Together, we can make a difference!

Meet Our Brother: Richard Chen! Hailing from the vibrant city of Hong Kong, China, and currently an upcoming sophomore who is studying finance and entrepreneurship. An extrovert, Richard loves meeting new people and building connections, a trait that complements his academic pursuits very well. His passion for finance and entrepreneurship is fueled by a desire to understand the intricate dynamics of global markets and the innovative spirit driving successful businesses. Summer Adventures: Richard's summer has been nothing short of extraordinary. He embarked on a journey that took him from the romantic streets of Paris to the vibrant markets of Senegal and Guinea. This travel experience offered Richard a unique perspective on how local wholesalers, retailers, and brokers collaborate to address various challenges in their markets. It was an eye-opening experience that broadened his understanding of international business practices. Upon returning to China, Richard interned at Vipshop, a leading E-commerce company, in their financial department. This opportunity provided him with an insider's view of the highly competitive Chinese work environment. At Vipshop, Richard gained valuable insights into financial operations within a major corporation, further solidifying his interest in finance and entrepreneurship. Embracing the KEP Community: Richard has been an active member of KEP for a full year, joining in the Fall semester of 2023. What initially drew him to this organization was its strong sense of community, something he found lacking in larger business fraternities. KEP's environment fosters both academic and social support, offering members a platform to learn and grow together. Currently serving as the Vice President of Social Excellence, Richard is dedicated to ensuring that his fellow KEP brothers have an enriching and enjoyable experience. His leadership role allows him to plan and organize events that strengthen the bonds within the fraternity, promoting both personal and professional development. Looking Ahead: Richard's journey is just in its early stages. With a solid foundation in finance and entrepreneurship, coupled with his diverse experiences and strong network, he is poised for a promising future. Richard's goal is to use his knowledge and skills to make a meaningful impact in the business world. Whether through innovative startups or major financial institutions, he is determined to drive positive change and inspire others along the way. Richard Chen's story is one of exploration, growth, and leadership. From his travels across continents to his professional experiences and active involvement in KEP, Richard exemplifies the qualities of a future business leader. He is also the perfect example of who a KEP brother should be. His journey is a testament to the power of embracing new experiences, building strong communities, and continuously striving for excellence.
