Things don’t always go according to plan. You fall behind. Someone gets sick. Your pitch doesn’t land press. Your brand is facing a crisis…the list goes on and on. Even when it doesn’t feel okay, guess what? Life happens and you have to adjust accordingly. Here are a few tactics you can start using today to reset ⬇️ 🌱Reframe your mindset. Take a step back and reflect. Use this as an opportunity to learn and move forward. Feel your frustration, then let it go. 🌱Go back to the basics. Keep it simple and return to what’s worked in the past. If you tried to do your own video and you kept getting flustered, what can you do to simplify your filming process? Write down your steps, review your script or talking points…whatever it takes. 🌱Get outside perspective. Sometimes we get in our own way and having an objective (or semi-objective) insight can help. For most people, contingency planning is most common after things go awry. It helps to have another person support that process. 🌱Try. And then try again. Resiliency is key with any business or organization. Yours is no different. If you’re going through hell, keep going. You’ll never know what you’re capable of if you stop now. If you’re feeling frustrated by what you’ve been doing to reach your target market or are going through some tough situations, reach out to us. We can either help or point you in the right direction. 💻 ivyhillstrategies.com

It’s not just about the press release. When some people think of public relations, their mind immediately goes to a 400 word document with a witty subject line and some boilerplate ☕️ Good PR is so much more than that. It’s about ☑️ defining your brand’s message ☑️ storytelling ☑️ community engagement ☑️ thought leadership ☑️ building and maintaining strategic partnerships ☑️ media training ☑️ knowing your audience and what matters to them ☑️ crisis communications and planning ☑️ making sure everything aligns across your brand ☑️ pitching and pitching again A LOT goes into crafting a narrative that aligns with what your business or organization does, what you’re an expert in, and what you need to share. When you grow your message, you plant success 🌱

We asked folks what their goals were for the week and this was one of our more interesting responses 🤣 Here’s what to do if you’re an entrepreneur who is feeling overwhelmed by your marketing, PR, content…or just being a leader in general ⬇️ ✅ Prioritize Tasks: Identify the most impactful marketing activities. Focus on strategies with a higher ROI like social media engagement, content creation, networking, or reconnecting with past customers. Trying to do everything at once is a recipe for resentment. ✅ Automate Where Possible: Use tools to automate repetitive tasks like email marketing, press release drafting, social media posting, and customer follow-ups. This can save time and reduce the mental load. ✅ Outsource When Necessary: Consider outsourcing tasks that are time-consuming or outside your expertise, such as graphic design, content writing, video editing, or PR. This allows you to focus on core business activities. ✅ Establish a Routine: Dedicate specific times each week to marketing activities. Having a routine can help you manage your time more effectively and reduce that “AHHHHH how do I do this???” mindset. ✅ Set Clear Expectations: Take a few minutes before diving into a task to outline the steps you need to take. This makes it easier to create standard operating procedures, delegate, create boundaries, and have clearer ways to reach your goals. There are a ton more ways to level up your marketing, PR efforts, and content without losing your cool. All it takes is some guidance and systems. All this sound like you? Book a call and let’s dive in. Your employees and clients (and your own brain!) will thank you.
