Wireless 3GPP standards will soon approach 6G. Each generation of wireless network tech introduces new capabilities—some mandatory, some optional. Mobile devices and network systems may conform to new generations of standards, but network operators must activate the standards features on their networks. The knowledge of the deployment of current features versus future, and implementation of such features on mobile devices supported by networks is a valuable insight into the assessment of the applicability and future relevance of our clients’ IP. Our new paper explores the role of live network testing in gaining insights into network capabilities, the deployment status of 5G features on US networks, and useful insights into worldwide network deployments. In the second article of this two-part series, Jessica Eldridge and George Platsis discuss how to pinpoint potential cyber risks and structure a cyber insurance policy that provides ideal coverage before a #cyberattack occurs and a claim is filed. Topics include: • Calculating Losses • How to Decide if External Support is Needed • Importance of Mapping Dependencies • Professional Indemnity Coverage • Reputational Harm To learn more, visit: https://lnkd.in/ek3ffxPj #50YearsOfInsights #50andForward #CyberInsurance

Scaffold failures frequently result in large financial losses and construction/remediation project delays. Common factors which may contribute to scaffold failures include: • Wind load not being captured correctly • Snow load not being considered in the design of the temporary roof structure or canopy atop the scaffolding • Improper sizing of fasteners used to secure the scaffold to the main structure • Insufficient due diligence when verifying construction of the scaffold and roof/canopy • Omission or mis-installation of scaffold locking pins • Undersized, missing, or improperly positioned sole board • Out-of-plumb adjustable base plate • Deviation from construction details In this article, J.S. Held forensic engineer Kenny Yip provides deeper insights on the common causes of scaffold failures, as well as preventative measures to mitigate the risk of personal injury, property damage, and project delays.
