What does an adrenaline rush sound like? Our client Hyland teamed up with its Brand Ambassador Valtteri Bottas to find out. Together they visited Thunderhill Raceway in Willows, California, where they connected him to sensors that measured athletic data like his heart rate, brain activity, sweat production and respiration. Hyland then gave this data to a group of music producers and composers who turned it into a thrilling song, Flight of the Valtteri. 🇺🇾 Ready for dessert? Known for his delicious baking, Tristan Howard, Senior Manager, Operations & Talent for New York, has the perfect treat to close out our cookbook series for Hispanic Heritage Month. Tristan’s family hails from Uruguay, and whenever he visits their home in Montevideo, he always leaves with a box of Alfajores. Best served after inhaling a delicious Chivito al Pan, Tristan urges all to devour plenty whenever you can! Grab one (or a few) and enjoy a bite of his home away from home. 🍪✨ INGREDIENTES 1 cup cornstarch 3/4 cups all-purpose flour 1/2 teaspoon baking powder 1/4 teaspoon fine sea salt 10 tablespoons butter (unsalted or salted) 1/3 cup granulated sugar 3 large egg yolks (yolks only) 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract 1/4 teaspoon almond extract 3/4 cup Dulce de Leche (my fave brands are Cachafaz or Los Nietitos, or you can make your own!) PREPARACIÓN Mix the cornstarch, flour, baking powder, and salt together. Set aside. Cream the butter at medium high speed for 1 minute (ideally with hand mixer/electric mixer). Add granulated sugar to butter. Cream for another 1-2 minutes until very fluffy and light in color. Add egg yolks one at a time and mix until combined before adding the next one. Add vanilla and almond extract and mix to combine. Add dry ingredients and mix until you form a dough. Should feel soft and not too sticky. Wrap the dough/bowl in plastic chill it in the fridge for at least 3 hours. Pre-heat the oven to 350F. Roll out the dough until it’s about 1/2 thick over a floured surface. You can roll it out into multiple pieces, depending on space. Using a 2-3 inch cookie/biscuit cutter should yield about 20 cookie sandwiches (40 halves). Place cookies on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 12-15 minutes. Cookies should look set, but not too browned. Let them cool down all the way before filling with the dulce de leche. I placed my dulce de leche in a piping bag to make it easier to fill the cookies. Just a plop in the middle, and when you combine it should fill out to the border.
