The digital age is transforming #water treatment. Over the next five weeks, #OurJacobs will explore five tech trends helping water operators get ahead. First up: the shift to predictive operations. 🔮 #WaterTreatment facilities often have access to billions of data points about their machinery, water samples and more. But those datapoints are stored in separate systems, making it difficult to learn from past performance and predict what will work in the future. As operators at the Agua Nueva Water Reclamation Site in Tucson discovered, if you can combine these data streams into a central platform, patterns emerge that can anticipate the need for machine repairs, chemical dosage changes or blower setpoint adjustments. Bringing large public works programs to life, one drop at a time. 💧 #OurJacobs provided design-build services to two award-winning upgrades at the San José-Santa Clara Regional Wastewater Facility (RWF) – a new headworks facility to enhance wet-weather treatment capabilities and a new cogeneration facility that maximizes on-site renewable energy generation.
