The key to long-lasting cedar siding is what's behind it. At our Lower Gwynedd project, we're installing cedar shingle siding, but before that goes up we add a rainscreen system. The black textured material creates airflow and ventilation while preventing cupping and warping. This protects the beauty of the cedar by eliminating excess moisture and reducing the potential for rot in the future. While it's a small detail, it makes a big difference in durability. Using reclaimed wood and time-honored techniques, we’ve recreated the warmth and authenticity of a structure that feels like it has stood for centuries. Pennsylvania bank barns were traditionally built into a hillside for easy access to multiple levels and blend beauty & function in a way that has stood the test of time. By integrating hand-hewn beams, mortise-and-tenon joinery, and reclaimed materials, we ensure that this newly constructed home carries the soul of an old-world barn while meeting modern standards of luxury and livability. It's all in the details and the foyer at our Bryn Mawr #ModernRenovation is a masterclass in craftsmanship and materiality. The intricate, hand-cut tile flooring creates a striking first impression, while the bespoke metal railing adds a modern sculptural element. Together, these components establish a seamless transition into the rest of this thoughtfully reimagined home. Originally built in 1983, this residence has been brought into 2025 and beyond through an extensive whole-home renovation, honoring its roots while elevating its design for contemporary living. A true testament to #collaboration, we were proud to work alongside the talented team Marc-Michaels Interior Design to transform this space. 

A one-of-a-kind kitchen that tells a story. ✨ Raw textures, industrial detailing, and organic materials come together in a space that feels both grounded and inspired. There’s something special about working with reclaimed materials. They bring history, character, and a soul you just don’t find in typical new construction.
