To my #nonprofit, #csr,#socialimpact, and #philanthropy network help me share this post to help nonprofits :) We are proud to support mission-driven organizations through LinkedIn’s Ad Grants program, which provides free LinkedIn ads and marketing consultation to nonprofits to help build awareness, connect with key stakeholders, recruit program participants, and so much more. We are currently accepting applications for our September 2024 - June 2025 Ad Grant cohort, and are focusing on organizations supporting diversity, equity, and inclusion; workforce development and economic opportunity for professionals overcoming barriers; and environmental sustainability. If your organization is focused on one or more of these cause areas, please consider applying to participate. Applications are open now through August 12, 2024 Application link: https://lnkd.in/gKm3FhrD  CC: Beth Klestadt

  • My Friday was full of cup-filling, inspiring, and confirming moments! I had a morning coffee meeting with a client to discuss an event we are planning. This client is the kind of fundraising professional who centers the mission and community in all of their work, rather than catering to philanthropic "standards." I really love that... and the fact that they are just SO easy to talk to. Our meeting ended later than anticipated because we were just having a wonderful time chatting about how we can honor the people they serve best! Honestly, we could have gone on for several hours. But I had to attend a graduation event for a summer program for another potential client that afternoon. Listen. This event was simultaneously inspiring and confirming for me. First of all, these kids knew more about where they wanted to go in life than most adults I know. Certainly more than I did at their age. They explained their dreams to me about attending prestigious universities, investing in certain stock, opening their own businesses, saving money and building their credit. These are juniors and seniors in high school. I was so inspired by them and the financial literacy organization who led their experience. And it's days like this that remind me two things: 1️⃣ I am a social girly, who needs to get out from behind her screen and interact with humans (not just my dog and cat... and the copious amount of squash growing in my garden). I totally respect people who's cups are filled by spending time alone - I am almost envious of this - but I need community and fellowship to energize my soul. And what a day it has been for that! To my fundraising friends, do not gloss over this weekly (dare I say, daily?) ritual! It's important to remind yourself why you are doing this work and prioritize your peace. I know this is easier said than done, especially on the days you get that rejection letter, or long days leading up to a deadline, or when your colleagues can't agree how to move forward with a solution, or whatever it may be. Find a way to fill your cup and restore your energy so that the light of your passion doesn't fade away. 2️⃣ I am so incredibly lucky to help these wonderful humans who are changing their communities and world for the better. I Get (capital G!) to help them tell their story in a way that advances their mission and impact! The ceremony today ended with a quote, "A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step." And I certainly feel like I am heading in the right direction. I hope everyone has the weekend they need to have, so you come back motivated and ready on Monday! And if you ever want to get a cup of coffee, I am happy to share my overfilled cup with you ✨
