JCCNC was pleased to attend the flag-raising ceremony on February 20, 2025, to celebrate the National Day of Japan with the Consulate General of Japan in San Francisco and the San Francisco-Osaka Sister City Association. San Francisco City Mayor Daniel Lurie 丹尼爾·羅偉 emphasized the importance of the long relationship between SF and Osaka in his remarks. The National Anthem "Kimigayo" sung together, was truly moving, and deeply impressed.

Japanese Chamber of Commerce of Northern California (JCCNC) together with the Consulate General of Japan of San Francisco enjoyed the JAJA Nor-Cal MOCHITSUKI Community Gathering in SF Japantown on Jan. 19th. Japantown Task Force, Inc., Japantown Cultural District, Japanese American Citizens League San Francisco Chapter, and JCCNC organized the event. We enjoyed making Mochi and enjoying the traditional tastes of Ozoni, Kinako, Isobe, and Daifuku, as well as the Ichigo-Daifuku and Poke-Mochi for the New Year celebrations.
