This moment (in pics) took me by surprise. I didn't have the opportunity to speak, but if I did, I would want all those who have served with me in the Diaspora Movement to share in this recognition. My dream alone could not have brought me or the JDTAN to where we are today; their dedication and hard work have made it possible. If it were within my power, I would gladly share this moment with every one of them. I accept this award in the hope that together, we can continue to bring forth the best feeling in the world by creating opportunities for those in need. I am filled with immense joy because my work is recognized. Still, that joy peaked when I realized I was sharing the moment with other outstanding individuals making significant contributions to building and engaging the Diaspora. So, I'd like to express my gratitude to Professor Neville Ying, Dervan Malcolm, Lisa O'Gilvie, Jamaica Information Service, the Jamaican Canadian Association, The VM Group, and others with whom I have worked repeatedly and who have also accepted similar awards for their work. I sincerely thank the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade staff, the missions, and decision-makers for acknowledging my work alongside these remarkable individuals. I am truly humbled and appreciative of the shared recognition. I am grateful for the opportunity to collaborate with the outstanding individuals in JDTAN who are dedicating their time and resources to support Jamaica. I appreciate their knowledge, efforts, and expertise, and I am thankful that they have chosen to contribute to the vision of a better Jamaica. I am also honored to receive recognition for my philanthropic work as one of the ten recipients for dedicating at least 20 years to this cause.
