The Jeep Sandbox Challenge witnessed over 1,000 registrations and 300 contestants, but only one lucky winner drove home in their own Jeep Wrangler, chosen by a Chamber of Commerce raffle. The Jeep Wrangler has defined the SUV category, conquering challenging and diverse terrains across the globe, and combining adventure, excitement and community. This week, the Jeep® brand and the USO (United Service Organizations, Inc.) joined forces at the Stellantis North American Headquarters in Auburn Hills to assemble care packages for troops deployed overseas. This year, over 150 Stellantis employees helped assemble over 10,000 holiday care packages, that will reach troops stationed in more than 70 countries. “To get a care package, is hope. It gives you enlightenment, make it through the days.” said Gregory McWhorter, U.S. Industrial Security Lead, Stellantis, as he recalled his time in the US Air Force from 1981 to 2021. “When I used to get them when I was deployed it brought us happiness, it showed us people cared. When I was responsible for giving the care packages to our troops, they couldn’t wait!” The USO Care Package Program is designed to provide service members with a connection to home and each package is designed to best suit the needs of military men and women. This year's package will include essential toiletries, holiday socks, games, snacks, and a Jeep brand reversible beanie hat the troops had asked for. The Jeep brand has a long-standing partnership of over 15 years with the USO and is proud to continuously support the country’s armed forces and their families.

The journey was all about embracing the spirit of exploration and freedom that defines the Jeep brand, packed with scenic drives, adventurous activities, and historical visits. The group collectively drove an incredible 24,675 km, a perfect reflection of the brand’s commitment to freedom and exploration. This is the unique spirit of the #Jeep community.
