During our Executive Director, Kellie Simmons, a recent trip to Bosnia and Herzegovina, she and our student mentor, Ena, met with the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) regarding 2025 collaborations. Here are a few of the collaborative in the works for our students: - Arts Integrative Education workshops: These workshops will use theater as a tool to process trauma and craft narratives related to conflict and adversity. - Youth Policy and Advocacy: Students will learn to identify global issues affecting them, how policies address societal problems, explore why advocacy is crucial for driving change, and how students can engage in advocacy efforts. - Campaign on 30th Anniversary of Peace: Jericho scholars will create a campaign that voices the stories of young people affected by discrimination and violence."

Recently, we hosted our first-ever awareness event in Banja Luka at symphony.is's Banja Luka office. Alumni Zorana, Nedo, Durdica, and current students joined us to volunteer and network with like-minded professionals. Our alumni were super excited to have something in the Banja Luka area and wanted to continue to help with future ones.

We received an invitation to a networking event hosted by the Tuzla Community Foundation and USAID. It was a fantastic opportunity to meet new businesses and be introduced as a partner collaborating with the Tuzla Foundation/USAID to raise awareness for Jericho in BiH.

🇧🇦 📢 Izrazito nam je drago predstaviti našeg novog člana Jericho Foundation 📌 2000. godine u Kalamazoou, Michiganu temelje je postavila jedna uspješna i prije svega inspirirajuća priča imena Jericho Fondacija. Fondacija je započela svoje prvobitno djelovanje kao neprofitna organizacija sa primarnim ciljem pružanja podrške Melisi, djevojci iz Bosne i Hercegovine kojoj je tada bila potrebna pomoć za fakultetsko obrazovanje. 📖 Danas Fondacija ima veoma veliku i veoma značajnu misiju.   Fokus je stavljen na pružanje sveobuhvatne podrške više od 100 studenata kroz svoj holistički program stipendiranja. ✏ Program obuhvata pokrivanje školarine, životnih troškova, knjiga, školskog pribora, podršku mentalnom zdravlju, terapiju i sve druge potrebe koje bi mogle biti prepreka obrazovanju. Prema podacima Fondacije, 98 posto njihovih stipendista je zaposleno, a svi koji su završili studije danas su posvećeni vraćanju nade u Bosni i Hercegovini. 💼 Jericho Fondacija pomaže u profesionalnom i personalnom usavršavanju studenata kroz mentorstvo, seminare o liderstvu i pružanju praksi u Americi i Bosni i Hercegovini. 🇩🇪 📢 Wir freuen uns sehr, unser neues Mitglied, die Jericho Foundation, vorzustellen. 📌 Im Jahr 2000 wurde in Kalamazoo, Michigan, die Jericho-Stiftung gegründet, eine erfolgreiche und äußerst inspirierende Geschichte. Die Stiftung begann ihre ursprüngliche Tätigkeit als gemeinnützige Organisation mit dem primären Ziel, Melisa, einem Mädchen aus Bosnien und Herzegowina, zu helfen, die damals Unterstützung für ihre Hochschulausbildung benötigte. 📖 Heute hat die Stiftung eine sehr große und bedeutende Mission. Der Fokus liegt darauf, über 100 Studierenden umfassende Unterstützung durch ihr holistisches Stipendienprogramm zu bieten. ✏ Das Programm umfasst die Übernahme von Kosten für Studiengebühren, Lebenshaltungskosten, Büchern, Schulmaterialien, Unterstützung für die psychische Gesundheit, Therapien und alle anderen Bedürfnisse, die das Studium erschweren könnten. Laut den Daten der Stiftung sind 98 Prozent ihrer Stipendiaten beschäftigt, und alle, die ihr Studium abgeschlossen haben, sind heute engagiert, die Hoffnung in Bosnien und Herzegowina zurückzubringen. 💼 Die Jericho-Stiftung unterstützt die berufliche und persönliche Weiterentwicklung der Studierenden durch Mentoring, Führungssymposien und Praktika in den USA und Bosnien und Herzegowina. Recently, the evening of philanthropy was held at the Emporia Hotel in Mostar, organized by the Jericho Foundation, with the support of USAID and the Tuzla Community Foundation. The Jericho Foundation had the honor of being the first organizer of such an event in Mostar. It brought together businesses and members of the non-governmental sector to promote philanthropic values in society and bring awareness of the Jericho Foundation’s holistic scholarship. The event resulted in partnerships, and we look forward to all future collaborations.
