“There has been a lot of justification of violence, and not even just justification, but glorification,” said Julia Jassey, CEO of Jewish on Campus. “You see this coming from a number of universities where you’re having student groups saying that the violence of Oct. 7 was OK, that it was justified, that it was moralized in some way.” Read more: https://lnkd.in/gtfMqiud

Jewish Insider Jewish Federations of North America JEWISHcolorado "JEWISHcolorado was one of at least four local Jewish federations in the United States to have accounts on Meta-run platforms disabled after posting in the lead-up to the anniversary of the Oct. 7 attacks. They did not receive any answers from Meta regarding why they had been suspended, leading some to question whether they were being targeted for the content of their posts — sharing information about Oct. 7. It’s been one year since 1,185 Israelis were murdered. 251 hostages were dragged away from their homes and their families, and their lives and taken into Gaza. It’s been one year since our sense of safety was shattered; our world was broken. For our community, the days since then have been a blur. Today, on the anniversary of that horrible massacre, Jewish Federations of North America mourns those we have lost; we pray for the remaining hostages; we honor the heroes who defend the world’s only Jewish State; and we reaffirm our strength and commitment to Israel. #NeverForgetOct7 #BringThemHome #BringThemAllHome #AmIsraelChai #StandWithIsrael

We condemn in the strongest possible terms yesterday’s massive bombardment of 180 ballistic missiles fired at Israel by Iran, as well as terror attacks in Tel Aviv and in Jaffa that killed at least six people and wounded several others. We stand in solidarity with the Israeli people during this moment of uncertainty, and we will work tirelessly to ensure Israel is safe.

Jewish Federations of North America condemn Iran’s massive bombardment attacking Israel in the strongest possible terms. From Hamas to Hezbollah to the Houthis, Iran has been the power supporting Israel's terrorist enemies and providing them with the weapons and know-how to attack Israel's civilians. Our communities are in complete solidarity with the people of Israel and the IDF as they work to defend themselves from these attacks, and we pray for their safety. We are thankful for the support promised by the United States to actively defend Israel from the Iranian threat. https://ow.ly/wvHh50TAnCn

"The resolution states that “(c)alls for ‘intifada’ are calls for violence and murder against the Jewish people, are antisemitic, and are racist in nature,” and affirms the regents’ commitment to create an inclusive community free from antisemitism and racism. The regents therefore “condemn SDS (Students for a Democratic Society) for its actions directed at Jewish people in the Town of Superior and Arapahoe County, Colorado.” Read more: https://lnkd.in/gxtjg2mc
