As we gear up for our opening in 2026, rigorous testing of the various airport systems forming the backbone of The New Terminal One at JFK is well underway, at our pre-production center near Islip in New York. The center (or "test lab" as we call it) provides the ideal environment for all systems to be tested thoroughly, bringing together our technology partners under one roof. With the ability to collaborate and troubleshoot together in real-time, the center mitigates risk early on in the technology testing and integration process and ensures a seamless opening. Together with The Port Authority of New York & New Jersey, we were delighted to host a media preview yesterday at the center, in partnership with SITA, ADB SAFEGATE, Schneider Electric, Faith Group, LLC and AECOM Tishman. From self-service bag drops to the latest airside technology that will improve operational efficiency, the various systems will help provide a world-class experience for our passengers and airline customers. During the media preview, one of our guests even got to test out the aircraft docking system - "wings" out as a CRJ aircraft! Our test lab, which is connected to SITA's facility, opened late last year. The center was completed ahead of schedule thanks to the efforts of two minority-owned businesses: Lead subcontractor Bonanza Contracting and architecture and design firm RCGA+DM Architects • Interior Designers • Construction Managers. Thank you to our colleagues at SITA for hosting us!
