Yesterday afternoon, the New Jersey Business Immigration Coalition (NJBIC) presented its 2024 New Jersey Immigrant Entrepreneur Awards.
It was a moment of great pride for me to be part of the program and to honor Mr. Jordan Hu, a shining example of success. A graduate of NJIT’s master’s program in Computer Science, he is the visionary founder and chief executive officer of RiskVal Financial Solutions, LLC, a global leader in software as a service for trading strategies, risk management, and portfolio management. I was delighted to present him with the 2024 Immigrant Entrepreneur of the Year Award.
But it was also my pleasure to be in attendance to see Newark College of Engineering Dean Moshe Kam have the honor of presenting Dieter Weissenrieder, who graduated from NCE with a degree in industrial engineering and is the co-founder of Weiss-Aug Group, an internationally recognized leader in precision metal stamping, injection molding, value-added assembly solutions and tooling, with the Lifetime Achievement Award.
NJIT, a beacon of innovation, has always been and continues to be a place that nurtures and encourages new ideas. We firmly believe that talent is everywhere, but opportunities are not. At NJIT, we strive to bridge this gap, and the success of our alumni, who leverage their talents for the greater good, is a testament to our efforts.
