I've always been passionate about driving open-access of data so that Scientists can learn about the latest innovations and, more importantly, get tools and visuals that can help them advance the field. That's why I'm pleased to announce my latest (and last!) publication from my PhD, where I've developed a dashboard with JMP Public/Live to search for the chromatogram and MS spectra for sophorolipid biosurfactants, where current information is really poor on what different structural forms look like with LC-MS/MS. The tool is publicly available and will hopefully help other Scientists to speed up their work and avoid the headaches with LC-MS analysis! Many thanks to my co-authors James Winterburn, Phavit Wongsirichot and Katherine Hollywood. Access the public tool here: https://lnkd.in/gKwVhRiR Read the paper: https://lnkd.in/gZmQkQV9

One of the most fun things we did at JMP's Discovery Summit this past week was to build an interactive wall showing how scientists and engineers who attended the event spent their time analyzing data. A couple of things stood out. Each sticker stood for four hours of work during the week. Many stickers were placed on working with files, data blending and cleanup, and sharing and communicating results. All areas can be more efficient with workflows, custom scripts, add-ins, and automation. Do that for yourself, and it is time-saving and efficiency gains. Do that customization on an organizational level—mass customization—and your entire organization can reap the efficiency benefits. Mass customizing your analytic workflow for your organization with presets, scripts, add-ins, workflows, and other enterprise customizations not only lets you work smarter. Your organization can speed learning cycles at scale and increase engineering efficiency to help build an empowered analytic workforce. Also, did you know you can collect and analyze your organization's analytic maturity? Get the free analytic maturity assessment on the JMP Marketplace and see what efficiency, training opportunities, and analytic blind spots exist in your organization as you start planning for 2025. For Discovery Summit this year, I got the opportunity to spearhead a new program for collegiate students to attend Discovery Summit 2024. This year, we were able to select three inaugural Summit Scholars. This program is something that I am super passionate about because just a few years ago, I was in the same position. I was awarded a scholarship that allowed me to attend the PCMA conference and it was an incredible experience for me. I wanted to be able to bring that opportunity to JMP. I am so proud of the kickoff for this program and getting to meet such brilliant students, like Deborah Mong'are! I am excited to see the future of the Summit Scholars throughout all the Discovery Summits. I have to give a huge shoutout to my team for letting me pursue this passion as well as Hannah Martin for assisting during the whole journey and Diana Levey (she/her) for being so encouraging and helpful at every corner. Lastly, we had a steering committee of JMP staff that reviewed all of the applications and choose the final scholars, and I am incredibly thankful for their time and support. #JMPDiscoverySummit #Education #Scholarship #PassionProject

This week, I had the incredible opportunity to attend the JMP Discovery Summit at SAS in Cary as one of the selected inaugural Summit Scholars!! I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to my Professor Dr. Emily Lada for sharing this amazing opportunity with us and encouraging me to apply. I am truly grateful I did! A huge thank you to Hailee Austin, MBA from the JMP team for organizing the Scholars Program and making such a valuable experience accessible to students like me. At the summit, I connected with professionals from diverse domains of expertise and had insightful conversations about their roles, and experiences in data analytics, and statistics, and received fantastic career advice. One of the major highlights of the summit was having the honor of sitting at the same table and having dinner with John Sall, the founder of JMP, on the first night. It was an incredible experience to learn and chat with someone who played such a pivotal role in developing this remarkable software. I also participated in hands-on activities like the JMP Lab, where I got to use the Easy Design of Experiments feature in the upcoming JMP 19 version. I also learned more about JMP's applications for statistical modeling through the Discovery Expo demonstrations. It was inspiring to chat with the JMP development team and understand the incredible work that goes into building such an extensive, dynamic, and visually engaging software. The paper presentations provided a front-row view of how JMP is used extensively across industries, showcasing its real-world impact. I even got interviewed about my experience, which was such a wonderful way to wrap up the summit. This experience has boosted my confidence to pursue a career in data science, where I can leverage statistical knowledge and data analysis to drive meaningful insights and business strategies. I'm excited to explore JMP further, especially for predictive modeling and Design of Experiments! Thank you again to everyone who made this summit unforgettable. Here’s to applying these new learnings in future endeavors!!! #JMPDiscoverySummit2024

Advanced Analytics Manager, DOE & Reliability, at JMP | Discovering new ways to create and apply designed experiments
Reflecting on another great JMP Discovery Summit. Great to meet connections new and old. While I'm posting the pics a couple days late (we presented on Tuesday), really thankful to the Steering Committee to give me the chance to talk jumping paper frogs using Easy DOE with my nine-year-old daughter. She did a great job presenting in front of a large audience in an auditorium - I think we'll both remember this event forever. #JMPDiscoverySummit #ProudDad
