Inflammatory bowel disease (#IBD) is commonly considered an “invisible disease,” often leaving patients feeling isolated and misunderstood – but no one should feel alone in their IBD journey. That’s why, ten years ago, we created IBD Social Circle (IBDSC) in partnership with IBD advocates to bring this community together and shed light on the realities of living with IBD. In the last decade, we have achieved many milestones led by IBD advocates, from tackling conversations on real-life IBD topics to sharing resources for people at any phase of their IBD journey. Through it all, our commitment to this community has continued to grow stronger, and we’re looking forward to all that the next decade may hold. For people with immune-mediated diseases who may be juggling multiple prescriptions, navigating insurance and specialty pharmacies, and keeping track of a variety of medical appointments, a biologic coordinator can be a critical partner in managing it all. Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) advocate Jaime Holland shares why a biologic coordinator is an important part of her care team and how she partners with them to advocate for her care. #JNJImmunology #BiologicCoordinator
