If I was a Head of Talent Acquisition today, this is how I would take on hiring in this current market: 1️⃣ Create a hiring plan that makes the process more streamlined, not longer. 2️⃣ Use a sourcing strategy that goes beyond just a LI recruiter search. There are so many gems actively searching on Slack, Discord, and Reddit for example. 3️⃣ Leverage AI that goes beyond just generative AI, like GPT. Orchestration is key in today's market and tools like Blue Saturn (Techstars ‘23) can help :) 4️⃣ Hire for aptitude : With many layoffs and companies restructuring, there are millions of people that are likely looking to re-skill themselves to find a new job. Look at candidates for what they can do, not for what they've done. 5️⃣ Rediscover candidates from the past: look at those candidates who went through the process and got 2nd place; reach out to those who said the timing was off; nurture that applicant you felt was 'too junior'. 6️⃣ Provide feedback and rejection with grace : it's one of the toughest economic markets we've seen in over a decade; applicants are applying to 100s of jobs and hear back to 1-3% of them; be the 1% What else would you add to this list?? #talent #hiringtoday #jobmarket
