We provide opportunities for 20 somethings in Pittsburgh to create new friendships and sustain them through our in-person events!🥳 Greetings is a tool and resource for 20 somethings to do anything social, career development, networking, fun and some consider it an adulting tool. The key with greetings, is our ability for users to take advantage of what we offer. We are a resource for them to explore their city. We provide the infrastructure for people to meet each other. We plan activities such as restaurant and bar events, trivia nights, speed-friending, game nights, wine tasting, run clubs, and more!

The Greetings' team was honored to compete in the Big Idea Competition over the past two months. We were fortunate to place and come away with $2,000! We wanted to give a shoutout to the Big Idea Center and the entrepreneurs in residents who helped us throughout the process!
Our 16th Big Idea Competition is officially in the books! 👏 Thank you to all of this year's teams for competing — you were up for the challenge and put in the hard work over the past couple of months! 💪💡 We look forward to seeing each of these ideas progress even further beyond the Big Idea Competition, there's lots of exciting potential! Our Big Idea Competition grand prize winner is... team Malleous! The Malleous team consists of University of Pittsburgh Swanson School of Engineering senior Ben Leslie '24 & Dietrich School of Arts and Sciences student Rohit Mantena '26. Their startup seeks to create a novel surgical instrument that combines suction and retraction tools into one device while maintaining the retractor's malleable and bendable properties. This innovation both increases surgeon efficiency and effectiveness by reducing surgical duration and reduces surgical risks to patients, all while saving hospitals millions of dollars annually. 🏥 Additionally, team Forevergreen is the SECOND-EVER team to win 1st, 2nd, 3rd, or 4th place AND win the video round! Congrats on a job well done, guys! 👍 The team is building an online platform to calculate one’s carbon footprint and connect them to impactful services to reduce their emissions. Forevergreen quantifies one’s personal environmental impact and provides solutions through quality reforestation projects, carbon credits, and simple habitual changes to empower each person to reach net-zero. 🌲 ➡️ To watch Forevergreen's winning video submission, go to https://hubs.li/Q02sFh1W0. 🎉 Recap Alert! 🎉 Last Friday, we brought together Pittsburgh locals for an unforgettable Speed Friending event at Church Brew Works! A big thank you to everyone who attended, you make these events possible! At Greetings, our goal is to create a safe, enjoyable environment to form new friendships. Meeting new people can be a challenge, regardless of where you live. That’s why we host activities/events that bring people together to develop new, meaningful friendships. This past Friday, guests engaged in group activities and enjoyed one-on-one conversations, developing new friendships right before our eyes. This event consisted of a brief icebreaker activity to encourage new conversations, along with 3-minute speed friending sessions, delicious food and drinks available, and friend-mingling. The 3-minute speed friending sessions were a notable success, allowing everyone to meet like-minded individuals they might not have crossed paths with otherwise.
