I was shocked when I learned that my intern was also my sorority sister! I am incredibly grateful to have had Sari Cohen join Team Matria this summer. Sari is an amazing young woman who supported our social media efforts and provided strategic insights for growing our community, Matria Coalition. To say thank you, I guided Sari through a coaching session to help her answer the age-old question, "What are you doing after graduation?" I was conflicted about posting for #IWD (what does celebrating women 1 day a year tell us?) but then I felt energized thinking about the women who inspired me on my journey to build Matria. While there were many, I share the story of two expanders: artist Windy Chien, and founder Sara Blakely, and how they helped me believe in my vision.
