On September 10th, JSS celebrated Teacher’s Day with a special event at our Asia regional HQ, themed ‘Encountering Great Teachers, Building the Future Together.’ It was a day of appreciation where colleagues voted for their favorite trainers and courses. The highlight of the event was the awards ceremony, recognizing the dedication and achievements of our 64 trainers who contributed to nearly 15,000 training hours across 174 diverse courses. Awards were presented to six trainers based on their teaching performance and student feedback. In 2021, over 162,000 children were injured in car crashes—that's more than 445 every day (NHTSA). For #SeatCheckSaturday, JSS is highlighting new research from AAA and the National Safety Council (NSC) on how informed parents and caregivers are about car seat safety. Key findings from the National Digital Car Seat Check Form (NDCF) show: 1. Three common mistakes: car seat installation being too loose, not using the tether for forward-facing seats, and harness straps being too loose. 2. Children often move out of car seats too early—25% transition to booster seats too soon, and 90% of those using seat belts should still be in a car seat or booster. 3. As kids grow, fewer parents seek car seat inspections. Rear-facing seats are checked 5x more often, and 78% of forward-facing seats are installed incorrectly. Let’s keep every ride safe! As a leader in global mobility safety, we are committed to protecting lives and our environment. JSS's Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) management systems establish targets and programs to meet our overall objectives of reducing carbon emissions in line with the Paris agreement. One major pillar of EHS management at every JSS location is establishing energy efficiency and renewable energy programs to contribute to the achievement of our global objectives and targets. One way we are working towards achieving these goals is through the installation of photovoltaic panels at all our qualified facilities in China. Additionally, our manufacturing plants in Huzhou, Lingang, Jingzhou, Ningbo, Anhui, Tianjin and Qingpu all produce renewable electricity covering up to 25% of the consumption at each plant with a capacity of more than 20 mega wats. #WeSaveLives #JSS #JSSChina #CarbonNeutrality #RenewableEnergy

Earlier last month, JSS partnered with Toyota do Brasil and UniArte Sewing Cooperative to deliver eco-friendly bags and backpacks made from repurposed airbag and seatbelt waste to Brazil’s Paralympic athletes. 🏅 We are proud to be a part of this collaborative effort and to support the more than 30 incredible women from UniArte Sewing Cooperative who gave our repurposed materials a new life. This project embodies our commitment to sustainability, inclusion and female empowerment.
