Joyville, Inc., is the proud parent company of five heart-driven concept stores founded by Carley Seale. Each one is built on a foundation of kindness, community, and a deep appreciation for beautiful things. It all started back in 2007 when Carley opened The Gypsy Wagon, a quirky little shop that quickly became a favorite. Over time, it evolved into Favor the Kind (FTK), which now has homes in Dallas, TX, and Crested Butte, CO. FTK is all about making people smile—offering an inclusive, joy-filled mix of fashion, gifts, and little treasures that feel like they were picked just for you. Right next door to FTK in Dallas, you’ll find Carley’s latest love letter to conscious living: Earnest John Honest Goods. Sustainability isn’t just a buzzword here—it’s the heartbeat of the shop. With a mission to make sustainable choices beautiful, accessible, and normal, Earnest John is filled with handpicked, eco-friendly goods, plus Dallas’ finest locally produced refillery. For those with a taste for the finer things, ROAM Fine Goods is the place to be. With two locations in Dallas, ROAM is where globally sourced artisan goods meet curated designer fashion. Carley and her team work directly with international artists to fill the shelves with goods that tell a story. The store feels like stepping into a different world with the hospitality of home. And if you visit ROAM’s East Dallas location, don’t miss Soul Mining Studio, a hidden oasis for meditation, intimate gatherings, and creative workshops. When things are hard....the answer is always dogs.
I am in my Friday gratitude happy hour and wanted to share what my team launched this week. With a slower start to the year, I wanted to provide a happy escape for my team. I partnered with a local animal shelter to take a dog on a Doggy Daycation. The goal is to help find a home for a cute pup, but what it did for my team was nothing sort of magical. They called it "healing." It has sparked more ideas from my team to build community. My cup overflows! Spirits were lifted 100x thanks to this little fella (his name is Allen). We're coming out of a season of massive change. We remodeled and opened a new store, we moved and doubled the size of our flagship store, we closed the Houston store, Crested Butte had a record summer..and oh ya, we casually launched 3 new brands..all in the last 10 months. Every single person on our team took on more work. There were moments of fear and frustration. We experienced exhaustion and overwhelm. We reached a state of chaos a few times when mistakes were made and opportunities were lost. But through it all, we stayed arm-in-arm. We kept the eye on the prize. We took time-outs and regrouped. We encouraged each other. Everyone gained new skills. Everyone practiced higher levels of leadership. Today, we are stronger than ever. We have the lowest 1 year turnover rate in our company's history. Yesterday we had a banger day, which is hard to do in August in Texas when it's still 100 degrees outside. Today is the day that feels like a new start. We'll stay the course. We'll inhale joy and exhale the B.S. We'll trust the process...and we WON'T FORGET TO HAVE FUN! - XO- Carley

☀️ Joyville Inc. 2024 Leadership Camp Recap At Joyville Inc., we believe that collaboration is the key to success, driving us to exceed high AF standards and continuously push the boundaries of what's achievable. Our recent 2024 Leadership Camp held in Dallas, TX with our Store Directors and Assistant Store Directors was a pivotal moment in our journey, focusing on the growth and culture that defines our company and propels us forward. During the leadership camp, we took time to celebrate the incredible accomplishments of our teams in 2023 and then dove right into setting ambitious goals for the year ahead. 🚀 COLLABORATION BOOST With a focus on company culture, leadership growth, refined processes, and deeper community connectivity, our days were full of team brainstorming sessions and planning. We delved into what fulfillment truly means for our team and our customers, meticulously defining and refining our core values. This foundational work ensures that we remain aligned and driven by a shared vision as we navigate the exciting challenges of the coming year. With our camp in Dallas this year, we were also able to have our marketing, buying, and warehouse teams join us for dinner one night where they shared their takeaways from 2023 and presented exciting plans for their departments in 2024. Getting to have this level of cross-company connectivity and celebrating the work that goes on behind the scenes was so fun and rewarding! 🌟 INSPIRATION THROUGH SERVICE Another addition to this year's camp and an absolute highlight of the week was our honor to volunteer at the Austin Street Center. Immersed in the community, we drew inspiration from our time there and dedicated the final day of camp to brainstorming ways to deepen our involvement and make a bigger positive impact as a company in our community. 🌈 ONWARD & UPWARD As we wrapped up the leadership camp, the overwhelming sentiment among our team was one of motivation and determination. With big goals on the horizon, we are fueled by the collective excitement we feel for what's next at Joyville Inc. We cannot wait for our work to be felt in our teams and community. Thank you to our incredible team for making the 2024 Leadership Camp a resounding success!
