Electrical Design Engineer - We are retained with a global electronics design and manufacturing company for the automotive and heavy equipment industries. This Design Engineer position is based in the Bay Area and must work from the local manufacturing plant with ability to travel a few times to clients and other manufacturing facilities. Role Description You will be designing high voltage electrical distribution system (EDS) products including low voltage wiring harnesses and battery cables, cable assemblies including routing and wire gauge selection, along with smart junction boxes. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field. 7+ years of experience in design engineering. CAD system experience – preferably CATIA-V6, NX, or Creo Experience with Capital Harness Software – Capital XC, Logic, and Integrator Design Failure Mode Effects Analysis (DFMEA). Experience designing new high voltage wire harness and cable assemblies, including routing and wire gauge selection. Experience designing smart junction boxes.
