We have recently received inquiries about Article Processing Charges (APCs) for the Journal of Sustainable Marketing (JSM) and whether such fees might be introduced in the future. While APCs have become common for SCOPUS-indexed, open-access journals, JSM remains committed to prioritizing impact and community over commercialization. Our policy reflects our publisher’s mission: “Free to Publish, Free to Access.” We emphasize supporting researchers from all backgrounds, especially those in developing countries. JSM is now a platinum open-access journal, meaning it will continue to be free to publish and free to access as long as Luminous Insights publishes it. To sustain this mission, our Managing Editor has recently partnered with Open Collective Europe, a non-profit organization based in Belgium, where they have established a dedicated collective page for JSM on the Open Collective platform, hosted by Open Collective Europe. This initiative underscores our commitment to a transparent, community-supported model for long-term accessibility and provides the opportunity for any individual, institution, research center, or organization to be part of our mission. You can learn more about our collective on Open Collective: https://lnkd.in/euxAKhZH. Since our launch in 2020, the support of our community, editorial board, publisher, and main sponsor, the Shidler College of Business, has enabled us to remain focused on impact and keep the journal accessible to all without financial barriers. We will continue to uphold this commitment. Dana Alden, Elif Karaosmanoglu, Rafael Currás Pérez, Preeti Shroff-Mehta, Rodoula Tsiotsou, Gergana Nenkov, Karolos A. Papadas, Ahmad Aljarah.
