Junior League of Detroit

The Junior League of Detroit is an organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women and improving communities. Through projects and programs, the Junior League of Detroit uses financial resources and trained volunteers to initiate and participate in community-based collaborative partnerships that work to broaden the educational, cultural, recreational and health opportunities for children in the City of Detroit. Established in 1914, The Junior League of Detroit is a charitable and social organization for women, which focuses on elevating the lives of children. The Junior League of Detroit reaches out to all women who demonstrate an interest in and a commitment to voluntarism. A prospective member must be at least 21 years of age and live within a 50-mile radius of Detroit. The Junior League of Detroit empowers women through leadership training as well as volunteer opportunities
