This focus on the safety of Jupiter’s residents, businesses and visitors will guide every decision made by JFRD. Residents will see no disruption in fire rescue service when the Jupiter Fire Rescue Department (JFRD) goes into service on October 1, 2026. In fact, the JFRD will have the same number of fire engines, rescue vehicles and stations as are currently offered in Town. JFRD will also have a ladder truck, which currently has to be brought in from outside of Town, and will be staffed by three additional firefighters. The department will also partner with the Jupiter Police Department’s Marine Patrol and will place a firefighter/paramedic on the patrol boat to provide lifesaving aid on Jupiter’s waterways. Watch a more in-depth video discussing the creation of the JFRD as well as documents and communications related to the creation of the department on the Town's website at https://lnkd.in/evvG8Ar4. #TownOfJupiter #JFRD #BeginningFromExcellance

This morning, we celebrated the completion of two new crosswalks with a ribbon cutting at Dakota Drive near Lighthouse Elementary! 🚸 The other crosswalk is located on Loxahatchee Drive at Jupiter Elementary. These crosswalks are designed to make it safer for children walking to school and are just the beginning—10 more crosswalks will be improved in the coming months to enhance pedestrian safety across town. The new crosswalks feature elevated sidewalks for better visibility and button-activated lights to alert drivers when pedestrians are crossing. 🚦 The Town collaborated closely with the principals of both elementary schools to select the best locations for these crosswalks. We are excited to have these two crosswalks completed ahead of the first day of school. 🛑 #TownOfJupiter #UniquelyJupiter #PedestrianSafety #SchoolSafety #CommunityFirst

🚰🎙️ Today on Tiny Mic, we're chatting about the recent revisions to the Lead and Copper Rule. This rule, introduced by the Environmental Protection Agency in 1991, ensures that water utilities monitor lead levels in drinking water. With our award-winning water, we've always adhered to these standards and are now embracing the latest revisions. To learn about the changes and how the Town is implementing them, we talked with Allyson Felsburg from the Utilities Department. Want to learn more about these updates? The Jupiter Fire Rescue Department goes live on October 1, 2026. In community meetings and discussions, we’ve received great feedback and support regarding why and how we are implementing the department. Some have also expressed concerns, and some will even add negative comments to this post. Unfortunately, there are many, some of whom live outside of Jupiter, who claim to speak for all residents. We want you to have the facts, and to get to know the department as it’s built. To help with that, we’ve created this video of Chief Donatto providing an overview of the department and the plan to create it. We hope you find the video, as well as the documents, communications, and information on our website at https://lnkd.in/evvG8Ar4, informative and educational.
