The past few months have been unimaginably difficult for Lebanon. Overnight, families were forced to flee their homes, leaving behind everything they knew. Over 1.2 million people, including 400,000 children, have been displaced with children out of school. The air is thick with uncertainty and fear, yet amidst this challenge, one thing is clear: education cannot stop. Jusoor is stepping up to ensure educational continuity for displaced children by building on the success of our award-winning WhatsApp-based learning initiative, Azima. We are now expanding our reach to help children who have lost access to schools across Lebanon with our initiative Himam هـِـمَم, where we aim to bring education to over 1,100 children as our first phase. Himam is about more than education—it's about hope, stability, and ambition for a better future. Act now to help these children learn, dream, and grow. Together, we can make that happen. With the escalating conflict in Lebanon, the safety and education of many families are at risk. Displaced children, already facing the consequences of war, now endure further disruption to their education. In response, Jusoor is adapting its program, ensuring learning continues through remote education, providing children and parents with education and psychosocial support during these difficult times. For three days in September our Centers’ teachers took part in our annual teachers’ training, which is an opportunity for our teachers to get together, share their knowledge and experience, and stay updated with the latest educational trends and approaches. The training was entirely run by our teachers, where each one shared their best practices with their peers. We’re looking forward to a fruitful academic year with our talented teachers!
