About us
Just Transition Northwest Indiana (JTNWI) is a grassroots environmental justice nonprofit that serves Northwest Indiana. Our mission centers on a just transition from fossil fuels to renewable energy within the region, home to one of the most biodiverse ecosystems, the Indiana Dunes National Park, and one of the largest freshwater bodies on the planet, the Great Lakes. JTNWI’s mission is to educate and organize Northwest Indiana communities and workers, give voice to our shared stories, and support a just transition to a regenerative economy that protects the environment, climate, and future generations.
