It was a true pleasure to attend and support The Backyard at Hudson Yards event last week with David Torres Jr. (Chef Oso) of Goliath Cocina, hosted by Related Companies. This celebration of Oktoberfest and the soft opening of The Vessel was nothing short of memorable. The food was simply outstanding—each dish packed with flavor! Guests couldn’t stop talking about how delicious everything was, with many expressing that they had waited a whole year to experience David’s culinary brilliance again. Hats off to the talented team at Goliath Cocina for delivering a 5-star experience that everyone is still raving about. I’m already excited for what’s next! Attending the American Heart Association Gala this year was especially meaningful for me as it provided another way to honor my father’s memory, who I lost to a heart attack four years ago in October of 2020. The night served as a reminder of how critical heart health is in our everyday lives, and how important it is to raise awareness of the resources and support that the American Heart Association provides. Their work not only educates us about heart disease but also empowers us to take proactive steps to safeguard our health and the well-being of those we love. Supporting organizations like the American Heart Association means advocating for healthier lives, creating awareness for ourselves and our families, so that we can build a future where fewer families are affected by heart disease. Every day, health truly matters in everything we do, and being part of this event makes me even more committed to making heart health a priority. Let’s continue to champion this cause together—because it can save lives.

What an incredible experience attending my first national conference for the National Association of Women in Construction this past August in Houston Texas, representing the NAWIC Greater New York Chapter 240.🗽 It was truly inspiring to see members from every state come together under one roof, all united by a single vision. If you haven’t attended a NAWIC conference yet, I encourage you to go. It’s an eye-opening experience that reminds you of the strength in our community. One of the highlights was hearing from the Closing Keynote speaker Jessica Rector, MBA , who spoke about the importance of saying YES, by setting aside family time, exploring new hobbies, reconnecting with your inner child, but most importantly, making space for personal time to take care of your mental health. It hit home for me, as my father always used to say, ‘You have to stop and smell the roses.’ It wasn’t until his passing that I truly understood the meaning behind that. The work we do is thrilling and rewarding, but the hardest part is finding time to shut off our minds and appreciate the small things. Being at this event was a beautiful reminder that we’re not alone in this journey—we’re all here to grow and support each other. Thank you, K-Four Construction Corp. & Kevin Joyce, for opening my world to so many incredible opportunities and supporting organizations that truly touch my soul. My 14 years in the construction industry have been nothing short of thrilling.
