Construction of the new "Whistle Stop Park" in downtown Redding is coming along nicely! Due to the addition of the adjacent parking structure, the City of Redding was able to acquire this former parking lot and put in a new pocket park for downtown employees, residents, and patrons to enjoy. Construction was funded through a CalTrans Clean California Local Grant Program combined with City of Redding Parks and Recreation Impact Fees with K2 Development serving as the general contractor. Join us for the first community event in the park, the Whistle Stop Park Grand Opening on Friday, June 21st from 4-8pm!
