A heartfelt thank you to Dr. Paula Bloom, a Kaiser Permanente Henry Towne Centre Medical Center psychologist, for sharing her wisdom during the panel on Culturally Responsive and Person-Centered Care at the Agnes Scott College Health Equity Conference. Her message, “Healing does not happen within a medical building—it happens in your community,” truly resonated, highlighting the importance of inclusivity and representation in health care. Dr. Bloom reminded us that person-centered care is foundational in creating a health model that encompasses mental and physical well-being and considers every layer of a person’s identity. It was a privilege to share this transformative conversation alongside Dr. Tawana Lee Ware, DDS, MSD, Dr. Valerie Montgomery Rice, Dr. Jennifer Sciubba, Ph.D., and moderator Chris Clark. Together, we explored meaningful pathways toward a future where health care is empathetic, inclusive, and holistic. A future where everyone feels seen, understood, and cared for. #HealthEquity #PersonCenteredCare #InclusiveHealth
